Getting Ready for School-Based Therapy

Starting therapy can be daunting, but we’re here to guide you. At Connect Care ABA, we explain the process and what to expect during your first visit.

Talk to Your Teacher

• Let your teacher know the therapist will be working with your child.

Pick a Good Spot at School 

• Therapy usually happens in a quiet space where your child can focus.

Bring Supplies 

• Have any needed books, learning tools, or communication devices ready.

Be on Time 

• Help your child be ready at the scheduled time so sessions run smoothly.

Prepare Your Child 

• Explain that the session is for learning new skills and having fun.

Stay Positive 

• Encourage your child to do their best and celebrate small wins.
