What is ABA?

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. It’s a special way to help kids learn new skills and reach their goals. ABA helps children:


  • Learn how to communicate better
  • Make friends and get along with others
  • Learn daily life skills like getting dressed or brushing teeth
  • Reduce behaviors that can be harmful or upsetting
  • Learn how to understand your child's unique preferences, wants, and preferred activities.

  • Stay safe and calm when upset


ABA works by breaking big skills into small steps and practicing them in a fun, positive way. Every success is celebrated!

Techniques we use

Techniques we use

  • Positive Reinforcement – Giving praise or rewards when a child does something correctly to encourage them to keep trying.
  • Task Analysis – Breaking big tasks (like getting dressed) into small, easy steps.
  • Modeling – Showing a child how to do something so they can copy it.
  • Prompting – Giving gentle hints or guidance to help a child succeed.
  • Natural Environment Teaching (NET) – Practicing skills in everyday settings, like home or playground.
  • Data Tracking – Recording progress to see what’s working and what needs adjusting.
